Overview

Rochevine means ” the Wine Rock”. From the 17th century, vineyards were present on this terroir. After phylloxera attacks in the 1870’s, the vineyard wilted little bylittle until the1980’s. 1988: Saint Desirat winery decided to renovate this terroir : reassembly of stony walls,reconstructionof “chalets”andplantation of newvine stocks.

Intense aromas of spices and ripe black fruits (jammy blackberry) combined with violet and vanilla undertones. Fresh and concentrated structure with a lot of fruits and spices. Soft and powerful tannin, characterized by a mineral and persistent finish which expresses the granitic soils.
